The response to the call for panels for the annual meeting of the Australian Anthropological Society on the theme “Anthropocene Transitions” has been wide-ranging and provocative.

I am pleased to advise that the Call for Papers for the 2016 AAS Conference is now open, and can be found at the following address:

To propose a paper presentation, please send a title and abstract by 15 August using the online submission system in the Call for Papers.

The annual meeting of the Australian Anthropological Society will be held from December 12-15, 2016 in Sydney, New South Wales, and will be hosted by the Department of Anthropology of the University of Sydney. Information about this year’s conference and the theme can be found at :
